Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole on Tuesday said that the team ran out of luck against Medeama SC to progress to the next stage of the CAF Champions League due to poor officiating by the match officials.
Remo Stars crashed out of the CAF Champions League on Sunday after losing out to the Ghana Premier League champion 3-2 via penalty shootout.
Remo Stars shot stopper, Bankole, believed the second goal they scored should have stood but the referee thought otherwise.
``The referee also didn’t help our course because we scored the second goal which was disallowed, I have watched it over and over but I couldn’t see the offside and I don’t know what they were thinking.
``We tried not to concentrate on the referee but they were not fair to us.
For the second consecutive season, Remo Stars has failed to make it beyond the first preliminary round of the CAF Inter-Club Competition.
