FIBA Africa Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tourney: Cameroon picks Africa's sole ticket

Cameroon has picked the sole ticket of the FIBA Africa Pre-Olympic qualifying tournament which was ended in Lagos on Sunday.
Africa Sport Network (ASN) reports that Lagos hosted the FIBA Africa Pre-Olympic qualifying tournament that was held at Eko Hotels and Convention Ground.
There were 12 teams including the host Nigeria that competed in tournament in Lagos.
Nigeria's representatives, D'Tigers failed to make it beyond the group stage.
The Nigerian side under Ogor Odaudu lost to Senegal and Mali in quick succession to crash out of the competition.
Senegal as one of the tournament favourites faced Cameroon in the final and it was the latter that came out victorious.
The game was keenly contested and the first quarter ended all square 25-25.
Cameroon took over the game in the 2nd quarter and was able to create a 10-point gap, 43-33.
Senegal rallied back in the 3rd quarter to reduce the gap but was unable to come back into the game as Cameroon ran away with an 80-74 victory.
